Hey guys finely got time off to start working on my long overdue game.. took the same week of diablo 3 was release.. good going Y_Y.

I am starting this thread to keep myself motivated as I'm easily distracted, and I really need to get it done, I started this project like over two years ago over at shmup-Dev for their fisrt comp and its basically changed form into this beast I need to work on.

About the game
Discord is a side scroller semi exploration shooter. Apart from only being able to shoot horizontally, bombs and other devices will be able to be used.

At the moment the game ship/stage is all going to be replaced with new artwork, as I've worked out most all of the basic game-play elements and Will now purely be working on the artwork side. also hud is going to go away as well, so very minimalistic.

basic gameplay machanics done
waypoint system done
Save/load done
Menu screens done
damage/health done
Demos stage artwork
Demos stage boss
Demos stage mobs
Demos stage events
Silly animation glitch to be be fixed :/

Also I'm an artist not a programmer so things take me a while longer to figure out.

Games being made in construct classic

Yeah, I like the smooth lighting and the embers coming off of the light / crystal. Nice job!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I'm working on proper full screen atm since it needs a bit of a work around to fit all resolutions, also Ive been working on the save+load+repair+ area separation room/system thing. which will be in every level area. Also got my art style worked out for the test main event area sorted which separates all the area's.

So far I've got 6'ish areas worked out and am looking at at least 5-6 hours of game play.

Will have more screens and updates by weeks end.
