Go now and vote what your heart tells you! http://www.gametrailers.com/I have to say they have a very nice feed, BitBlot, you guys should embed this version in your site so you can have a fast playing, good quality version. It's not doing too badly, over 2,500 views and really really high ratings between 9-10. Congrats on the good exposure.

I thought this was already on TIGSource previously, but maybe I am wrong.
In any event, it's a gorgeous trailer. I'm so impressed by the fluidity of the animation.
edit Oh man, front page!

So it is.
Man, how do you guys do that water effect? RTT + a fine mesh, or do you do it with a shader somehow?

Just rendering to a texture, texture on mesh, run sine waves on the mesh. Shaders are used for other stuff. :D Could use a vertex shader to modify the vertices of the mesh... that might be faster. But its fast enough already. GameTrailers is a scary, scary site.

That's pretty much what I guessed of it. Sure looks gorgeous. I hope it's GL, so there's a possible Mac version :D (hint, hint)

Yep, its OpenGL... already started preliminaries on a Mac version. :D DirectX support will be possible too, but would take more work.

I have a wholly inappropriate degree of man-lust for your gaming product.

The GameTrailer comments are generally bad, but I think YouTube is the worst. Even 4chan /v/ is leagues better than those two.

I find it kind of amazing how many people can't detect the "(PC)" in "Aquaria (PC)". Also, apparently the game likes other games of the same sex. I think you'd probably get the same reaction for any 2D game, though. Not as bad as some of the stuff I've seen from YouTube -- I look at videos of console game prototypes every so often and see people bashing the programmer art ( ) and asking where they can buy it.
