Two frame running animation. Wonder what I can improve. besides making it four frames; he feels really unbalanced; he's leaning towards his right side. i'd say with 2 frames you gotta make it symmetrical. otherwise just bite the bullet and increase the thing to four frames so he can wobble to either side Thanks for you feedback, will try to improve it. I'll post results later.

here's some animated process of some more tiles.. Awesome stuff, love the way the colors look totally random yet work out to be okay. Quick question, though, how do you export the process / what software are you using? Totally love this color palette!

Is there anything I can improve even more? my vote is sync his arms and legs up; it's a subtle cognitive thing but having him swing his left arm when he moves on his right leg makes him look strange; most himan beans walk with their arms moving in the same direction as their legs (even if they don't notice)

Hmm? Most of the time I see walking/running animation being drawn like this: Notice, that he swings his right arm when he moves his left leg. In my animation he does the same.

Oh for fucks sake dude. More animation, more pixels. Stat. I need it, you need it. It's a deal, get on it. edit: ah, but, with that sword slash stuff, maybe not use single pixel noisy parts. It looks noisy ' __ ' I believe in keeping sparks and slash trails separate, otherwise they just look like they're not cleaned up after initial sketching I have a big beef with hyper light drifter's graphics because of this I think it's a thing that only I care about
