Wha?! A wild Renton has appeared! Fish should have posted this here himself, but I'll do it for posterity: possibly GDC t-shirt? this is all sketchup BTW.

Mine isn't pure Skp but since there are already a few borderline Skp examples in the thread I thought I too might throw something in. I usually make a sketch on paper first, then make a proper model and finally add a few layers in Photoshop.

Uh, yeah, that's quite the modeling work flow you've got there, gorgeous stuff! Hopefully I can get somewhere close to that skill at some point. And yeah, stuff where SU is just part of the process is fine, because at the end of the day, that's where SU really shines, not as a finished product tool, but as a tool that makes getting to the finished product that much easier. Oh, and for those interested, here's a free rendering program, Kerkythea, that is fairly integrated with SU (download the ruby script for the integration). I've messed around with it a couple times and been more or less impressed (it is free after all), so for those interested I'd say give it a go; that camera would probably look pretty rad rendered! http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/

I've been a keen SketchUp user for years now, and only since I've come here have I seen it being used for a lot of Game work, which is brilliant. Amon26, those are some really cool scenes you've got their, I love the look of those fighters. RayRayTea, That is one of the most impressive models I've seen. Any chance of a bigger image? Anyway, here's some of my SketchUp Models, after being rendered.

I discovered I don't have the latest skp file anymore. All that is left are a few other pictures like this one (which is a working version of this http://i39.tinypic.com/25ivvw0.jpg) but actually I think it's pretty interesting in that it clearly shows how it's all done (I'm using PhotoMatch with a scanned drawing instead of a photo as basis). But the file is obviously a very early version so I guess it's all gone for good.

Decided to mess around in this ol' sketchup thingo. Made a revolver, though at the moment its missing a hammer, and the level/switch to let you access the revolving part. Made to scale, if you wanted a 9 mil revolver. Anyway, heres a shot (gun pun?). Is it obvious its 2:32 in the morning here? EDIT: realised i uploaded a screen stretching-er pic. This one is better.
