Haha, I think it's pretty bizarre that they feel the need to be so defensive of pixel art (especially when it's as good as this Shocked ) - as if there's a cadre of furious readers banging their fists against the table trying to understand why a 2D game is being featured in their paper :D

(Hey Pishtaco, a Czech website wrote something about my game too... think you could have look at it if it's not too much trouble? (the link's in my signature) Smiley )

"This game may look like a disgusting mess of squares straight out of your grandpa's wind-up computer, but if you look past that evident flaw, you'll meet a rather decent game!"

I'm not sure I translated the parts where it talks about the graphics correctly. I'll get a second opinion this evening (edit - it's close enough). I'll try to have a go at Terry's as well; it'll be good for me, since I've been slacking on my Czech homework recently.

Whoa, 4 Color Rebellion!  http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/2008/12/20/fun-for-free-verge/  ...although they don't link to me at all and the download link bypasses my php download tracking system.  Oh well.

Congrats!

I like how the Czech paper apparently does not consider stomping creatures to death to be any sort of violence.

Congrats!

And yeah, why the f don't blogs link to creators' sites. It seems like it should be a common courtesy.

Everyone thinks that Pixel got his name from the little dots of color on your screen when it's actually the other way around...

Oui, Verge is one of the most original games that I've played recently, if not the most original.  However: I have some questions:

1.is it required to use the secret moves in some areas?
2.do you ever intend to implement a game saving system?

[as for my other post, I was calling it original.  it seemed a bit blurry.]
