Hi, I'm trying to make a game for the Xbox 360 and I am currently fleshing out the art style over the next few weeks. Here's what I'm working on. I'm just looking for some feedback on the style.

. I'm trying to blend minimalist with vector. I haven't worked much on the characters at all. -- Just have been focusing on the first level style to set the thematic pacing for the game. Let me know what I should tweak ; should change, add, or remove. Thanks Smiley

*Info on the game. ( I shrunk the screens down. They are actually 1920 x 1080 for HD on Xbox).

The game is a 2d platformer / adventure game.  The character can walk, jump, run, run jump, attack, collect things, and explore the world.

These are marshmallow clouds.

Opening sequence test.

Just testing grass styles and character styles.

Title Scene I put together real quick to get the style across.

Another character concept. Trying out triangular design.

World style with implemented bounding box of character.

Title scene test. -- What do you think of the font?

I think that it looks absolutely awesome. Especially the last 4 screens.

Magnificent. The 2nd screen is my favorite.

The 6th one is really rich. The character in the 5th feels like something. I really like all of them.

I'm not crazy about the font. The word "wind" is large. It feels kind of patronizing in a way. The letters also look frail; that's out of place with everything else.

I like the last four ones. Though character in second last doesn't fit into rest of the image IMO. I think triangular character design is best.

I think triangular character design is best.

Another vote for this. That little guy is adorable.

The first ones are ok to my opinion, nothing new, but the last 3 are outstanding.

Agree with the triangle design, you achieve something special with that one. Try to explore more of it, also the minimalist background, reminds me some kind of mirror's edge on 2D.

The woods are something more different, lots of details, looks like a children's book illustration, but with a "limbo" game feeling. You definitely got something there, including your well design titles. Keep it up man!  Smiley

It's beautiful. I'd play a game that looked like this just to stare at it.

The sixth one has an amazing atmoshpere.  These would make great desktop backgrounds btw.

That bounding box should ideally be smaller than the character itself. If combat of any kind if implemented, or a sort of death by touch obstacle is encountered, the player will be much more forgiving if the object sweeps the player and you don't die than if it doesn't touch you and you die.

I guess I'm the only one that isn't understanding what exactly I'm looking at with the triangle one...? I mean it's pretty but...I don't see a character. Maybe it would be more obvious in motion.
