So much shit just came up for me in the next few weeks. I don't want to commit and then let people down, so it's probably best to slice me out of this delicious cake.

I have several reasons for not getting more slots. First of all, this is my first comicompo. Second, this is also a new system we're trying, I don't want too many people putting a lot of effort into something that just might not work out as well as planned.

If it does work out nicely, expect double the slots, but for now, I think I'll keep the numbers low. If there is too much demand, I might open up maybe 3 more slots. I'm not promising anything, though.

Nevermind, I'm opening up more slots and putting in you in the artists team, savethedinosaurs. JaJitsu, if you still want in, and I'll give you a priority signup spot (it'll mean kicking the last sign up out if the other 2 spots are full).

I thought about that and decided that it would be better if the artists team started after we have the full script.

Oh snap!  I didn't see that coming.  So there will be a few weeks of writing the whole thing followed by a long era of drawing the whole thing.  I was hoping that I'd be able to see all previous artwork before writing, but I won't make a stink about it.

Well we don't know how detailed the writers will be. Maybe there can be artistic freedom such as character designs or minor plot details that you will need to see from the previous frames.

we should just decide on character designs once the writings done, and have alterations based on how the writing goes.

Hmm. I was gonna go the classic way and have everyone take turns so we get consistent character design; there's no telling how clear the writers will design their characters and how the artist will interpret the designs. If you guys all want to at the same time, I'm fine with the idea, but we'll need at least a week for a design brainstorming session and we'll have to keep it secret somehow.

I agree that the artists shouldn't all be simultaneous.

But then, everyone in turn could take a long while.

Possibly we could have the writers stay two or three pages ahead of the artists, if that's enough context?


Also, a bit of pre-discussion about premise among the writers could be nice but then it's not really necessary.

Oh yeah I forgot about consistency... that is true.  Well at least we can kinda plan out the ideas before hand.
