Hi,

We are making a special kind of tetris for my university.
Everything is almost complete, but I need to select the speed of the game and levels.
I already read that doing 1 line gives 100 points in many tetris games, and 4 lines 800 points. So I got the score covered more or less.
However, I don't know what kind of speed "function" (a math funcion not a procedure\method) to choose.
I can figure it out by play testing it, but I am a bit short on time.
So: DropSpeed(level) = ?
And what should be the speed of moving horizentally?
I tried to google for this stuff but couldn't find anything useful.

(assume it's like a normal tetris).

I'm rather sure there is somewhere open source tetris clones. Why not trying to find one and see how they have done it? Or simply throw something yourself?

Or you could do some ad-hoc time measurements of any online Tetris videos you find.
