It's like someone took highschool emo poetry and put it into a game. I'm not sure if that's a compliment. In fact, I.. uh... Yeah, I don't really have any good things to say about this one. For anyone that's gonna play it, your mileage may vary. EDIT: Of course, this is me being cowardly. I play a lot of 'meh' games in Announcements/Feedback and just choose to post nothing in response. There's something about this game I actively *dislike*. I simply lack the intelligence to figure it out.

if you reload the game after you beat it you still get the corpse, that was funny
my main problem with the game is the text scrolling. you know how the words jump to the next line after they become too long for the line they're on? you're not supposed to do that: you should start them on the next line. it's a bit tricky to code but makes it a lot easier to read.
is there an alternative ending for not killing any of the bugs on the way? that would make it a true art game

You made a bad art game to show how much you don't like bad art games? Why?

I thought the point of art games was to make things vague. Hint at what happened, what caused you to break up with her. As it is, it's nothing more than a generic story and you have to do generic platforming to read each segment.
And when did it become a requirement that the protagonist must kill himself at the end of an art game?

I don't know enough about Hideous' opinions on artgames to know whether this is supposed to be a joke or not. Either way, I think it quite comprehensively manages to miss the point.
If it's serious, he should be writing poetry or drawing comic books rather than making games.
If it's a parody, he's done a pretty bad job of it because it doesn't play like any artgame I've seen - you know, the ones that use the uniquely interactive nature of the medium ("game") to explore new ways of evoking feelings or inspiring thought ("art").

there is actually a relation between the text and the game, you know (although usually the relation is a bit thin). for instance the text talks about depressing him in a hole, and in the game he actually goes in the hole. when it talks about conflict, there's an enemy. and so on.

Why do I get the feeling I was just trolled by a game. First "You Are In a Room" and now this. This post-modernism indie is going to make me cry real tears soon.

The whole "parody of art games" thing has already been done, if that's what you were after.

it was done before that parody, too. the first art game parody that i can remember was in 2007. there have been dozens since then, the most famous of which is probably 'the gutter' by jw.
that said i don't see why you can't have more than one art game parody. 'already been done' can be said of anything.
