Agreed on London. I would have enough problems finding my way to the uk. Finding my way to a town that is not London would be interestingly hard.

I would be perfectly happy if we'd go for the first December-weekend, starting at the 5th.

Cambridge and Oxford are both big tourism locations on account of their universities, and they're both very easy to get to from London. You can get a train right to Cambridge from Stansted Airport, and Oxford is similarly straightforward to reach.

I haven't had time to even start looking for places yet, by the way, and won't for another week or so since I'm going to be away from Monday. Like I said in the other thread, the best thing people can do at the minute is just all get on google and see if they can find any good locations.

London > other places

Apparently trains are ridiculously expensive in the UK (£18 to take the train from Stansted to London, I think) so I'd rather have somewhere that I can take the bus to easily.

Count me in for all things and everything. Though I'm in Hampshire so I'm not sure how useful I'd actually be at organising anything (I'm also slightly incompetent) let me know if there's anyway I can shoulder the responsibility. Things sound fairly good so far though!

I'm interested, although I don't have a laptop. If the venue has room to set up a desktop, I'm on. Also, I'll have to drive, so might conceivably be able to sort out a few lifts if people need them.

Ah, seems like I won't be staying in UK as I thought. But I'll attend this event in any case! Smiley

Actually, seems like I will be staying in UK. But that is irrelevant now.

Well theres always the MegaBus. Assuming there is a bus depot near you and it arrives anywhere near the time you want to be there. Train prices are horrendous Sad

Hello folks.
I am deeply interested for I have already failed attending the BIGJam, so I WANNA GO.
However, the most suitable (if not ONLY) time this year I could be free is the first week of December. Which basically means: Do it THEN. Hand Any KeyNoir

I'm good with the start of December too. My birthday is on the 4th, so this sounds like a good way to celebrate!

Shall we pencil in December 4th-7th as a tentative date? Does it clash with anything major?

I'll have my term finals shortly after, but hey- the best way to succeed is knowing when to relax and steam off.

So it's a good date for me as well :D
