Love 'em. I'd play 'em if they were games. character concept art. going to be posting more details on the game project shortly. edit: unfortunate timing for this post. I like it. But the fact that it's perfectly symmetrical bothers me for some reason.

I spot a lot of ditherblocks. I would very much like to see your approach/steps.

I spot a lot of ditherblocks. I would very much like to see your approach/steps. Those are for conceptual approaching the color/composition that I will do, hence 5x5 custom ditherblocks, not like they will stay like that Ive made a WIP already to a certain point that should show a little

What im really proud of is the water reflections, still alot of work to do, at the end im gonna do a foreground thing to enhance the depth-lurker effect Thanks everyone

Elk, that's looking slick. I really like the background actually, very nice and soft.

Hey elk, this is looking insanely awesome. I had to do a double-take on your user name to make sure you weren't Fool. I think it's a really solid start! Be careful though. Some parts of your image like the statue itself has a really great sense of form to it, however other areas such as the rocks have much less thought put into their form/structure. For the rocks I see your mind has switched into detail mode too soon. Your dragon piece struggled with this same thing. Anyway, awesome stuff. Far more ambitious than anything I've ever set out to do. Makes me want to try, you bastard. Very inspiring.

This thread is full of so much awesome. I have a game I want to do with pixels so I am doing some speed sketches to warm up (thanks to pietepiet for inspiring me as usual).. First time trying the original gameboy palette, pretty hard! Second attempt was a bit better but it's still hard to differentiate the background stuff (like the clouds being much further back than the tree) ..

This is great. You should quit setting the standards so high! I look forward to seeing this complete. Also, avoid detailing non-focal points such as those rocks, it's taking away from the awesome monster structure. Keep it up!
