It was indeed! It's a piece called "King's Valor" by Pierre Gerwig Langer. It's the music they used in Avadon, however, the piece we used is an updated version of the song that Pierre did only a couple of years ago. Though he also wrote and performed the original piece Alas, we made the trailer before Nicolas Lee, our composer, joined the project and started pumping out his amazing original score for the game Still, it's a great piece, don't you think?

As fellow game developers, I thought you might like to see some "when software goes wrong!" Firstly, a bug in my shader coding made the player be on LSD: Secondly, when adding mushrooms to the game, we got the scale slightly wrong, but didn't realise until we rounded a corner and saw this: Just a bit of a weekend giggle!

We've been doing some work on the overworld, which you can read about in the latest blog entry: http://swordofahkranox.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/boy-do-we-have-goodies-for-you.htmlIn short though, here are some screenshots: Please note that THE EXCESSIVE BLOOM IS FOR CPU STRESS TESTING, AND IS NOT A PART OF THE FINAL GAME!!!We also have a video of the engine in action at this link: Thanks for watching!

We've added some bugs to our game!
Not software glitches, but insects to fly around and make the world seem a bit more alive!
Here's a video:

One of our lead alpha testers, Hyfrydle32, has just put up a "Let's Play" video showing off an early alpha build of the overworld section of the game! You should subscribe to his channel though, as we'll be sending him regular builds as we progress with our work (and next week we're taking a week off our day jobs to pump out MASSES of content for this thing, so there will be some awesome videos coming up)
Anyway, here's the link:

We've added abandoned graveyards to the game! Here are some screenshots. They're not done yet, but they're looking pretty spooky! In the game, the player will be able to enter the mausoleums and tombs to fight the undead for their treasures! So as you can see, they're much more frightening at night time, but they will be the home of the undead in the game. You will be able to enter the mausoleums and tombs and raid them for goodies (if you survive). There are humorous messages on the tombstones, but they're written in Ahkrani (the in-game language), so you'll have to decipher them yourself However, the graveyards are only about 50% done so far, so we'll update you further when they're finished. We've also put in Henges that are procedurally generated. You can see them in action in this video: So, as always, don't forget to check out our IndieGoGo campaign by clicking on this image:
