I'm a huge fan of the game series, but my question is do you guys truly believe that it is a 10/10 game from what you've seen so far?

tbh this would probably be better as a general MGS5 thread.
i don't give a shit about review scores but i'd say from what i've seen it looks like mgs3 + peace walker with an open map which is a very very good thing. also ground zeroes was already pretty rad. only thing i don't like is kiefer sutherland as snake.

I'm not completely opposed to a non-Hayter snake (I guess BB was voiced by others in MGS2 and MGS4 after all) but I'm not sure I can totally get into what I've heard of Kiefer's performance, maybe my mind will change by the time I actually play it though. Apparently with Kiefer they wanted to catch facial expressions along with the voice acting and even based all of BB's facial animation on Kiefer instead of Akio Otsuka, so they must have banked on the combination of the auditory and visual performance having a lot of impact.

fwiw ground zeroes ran near perfectly on my 2 year old laptop on max settings im a little wary about celebrity voice actors in games in general because they usually cost a lot so as a result the devs cut down on dialog. remember when liam neeson was in fallout 3 and had like 20 lines total? snake/big boss already doesn't talk a whole lot in ground zeroes, hopefully that's not an indication for phantom pain (i know there are gamplay vids out there but i haven't spoiled myself yet). also beyond that, kiefer's performance is just kinda... bland? i mean hayter isn't technically perfect or anything but his snake is one of the most recognizable voices in videogames.

do you guys truly believe that it is a 10/10 game from what you've seen so far? Depends on how much you like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

What if Hayter is dead and Keifer has had his vocal chords transplanted and they have fully taken control and now he's going to hunt down Konami board members with the help of Metal Gear Akio.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10_%28number%2910 (ten Listeni/ˈtɛn/) is an even natural number following 9 and preceding 11. Ten is the base of the decimal numeral system, by far the most common system of denoting numbers in both spoken and written language. The reason for the choice of ten is assumed to be that humans have ten fingers (digits).
