Hey guys, I had a question about reference monitors. I was just handed down two rokit rp5's from my dad and I got brand new xlr's to connect them to my macbook. But when I do that, all I really hear is instrumentals and some voices, not much other than that. Do I need some sort of interface or are one of the wires I purchased bad? Thanks in advance!

Hm how have you plugged them into your Macbook? Feels like you would need a soundcard/interface in between to make it work properly.

Yeeehhh, there has to be a sound card in the mix there. Have a look on dv247.com you should find some interfaces there, have a look at the outputs in the tech specs to see if they take XLR so you dont have to buy new cables too.
