I WAS.
I slept like 2 hours the night before, I didn't win my IGF award, and I was about to eat a really sketchy cheese burger from Denny's. IT WAS A LONG DAY.

Denny's gave me the fear. However it was the Sony party that made the fear real. Even free booze couldn’t improve Sony's rotten attempt at fun-mongering |

Denny's was long on the uptake that night. It's good those cards were there.
Also, I went to the Nordic Game party that night with cactus and erik svedang i think. it had one of the worst cover bands I've ever heard, and I don't think it was scandinavian either. OH GDC.

Yeah, that night was kinda terrible, but in hindsight it's a pretty fun memory. I liked the part where Erik made us wait to leave while he got one last free beer, successfully snuck an open bottle out of the bar inside his hoodie, then dumped it all over the inside of the cab (and himself) because he forgot it was in there and leaned over to put down his IGF award. |

"You unlocked Hobo Mode! You hid cheap beer inside your coat in a public place." In Sweden you pretty much get away with drinking beer on the street when you're transporting yourself between parties. Friendly people told us not to drink outside in SF because it's not ok with the police. So the beer had to be hidden  |
