Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows any software that's good for taking gameplay videos. I'd quite like to take some footage of my games to put on YouTube and my blog. So far I've used CamStudio, but it tends to be quite jerky and the sound never syncs properly.

Does anyone know of any good alternatives?

GtkRecordMyDesktop is free and good, if you're of the Linux persuasion.

Fraps. The free version can only record 1 minute per recording, but that's more than enough for me.
Cant record flash game though.

Fraps, if you can buy it. Then Camtasia... if you can buy it :D
I don't know something else on Windows, but on Linux I use ffmpeg. It is really good and free.

Thanks very much for the help! I'll try them out Smiley

I read the thread that Draknek posted, and have also started fiddling with the settings in CamStudio, and I've had a bit of improvement. I'll let you know how the videos go.

Many thanks  Grin Hand Thumbs Up Right

UPDATE: Just downloaded fraps and tested it out on my game. It works great! :D
