They need to go back to exactly that in fact, most have moved to pretty graphism and expensive voice actors. Rebuild from the ground up back like in the old days and find new tricks and production method.

i hate to say this but from what i've seen mn9 doesn't look very good :/
i agree it looks pretty bleh, kind of a bummer but also the indie scene already has megaman style games if people are really craving for them. |

Theres 150 games and its just counting Battle Network.
They were also getting worse and worse with time.
Capcom cancelled some chinese mmo-thon, x gritty shooter reboot and Legends. Fans would savage hem on release anyway, Legends was not that popular to begin with.
I mean they had spinoff games that have 5+ instalements not counting rereleases. People seem to like only MM 1,2 and first X games anyway, dont tell me someone feels nostalgic for Mega man soccer.

Lots of people complain about yearly sequels of CoD, Assassin's Creed, Madden, FIFA etc, did people ever complain about too many Mega Man games back in the day?

It seems like that the gameplay is stripped down aside from a few gimmicks (that aren't wholly original, but still mix well), but there's going to be, somehow, a lot of mysteries about the setting and what different events "mean".
I note that the player's ship looks like two stone tablets, you collect souls, and your "bomb" is summoning a demonic looking void.

In the 90's gamers were very different from now We played as much megaman we could , they were some complains (they made 5 mega man on the nes i believe , i played like 3 of those 5 lol) Also we didnt had internet so we played all the time and games were few compared to now , very very very few. And yes megaman was a giant in the time. |
