Hi folks,
just wanted to let You guys know that pmG is currently offering their animation and rendering suite for 10 and 40 dollars (basic and pro version), and I heard it exports to UNITY for example.
So if You folks are looking for a great way to animate Your 3D models, this might be an interesting opportunity.
Check it out here:http://www.projectmessiah.com/x6/shop.html
I ordered it already.

Greetings,
Emmanuel

Hm, Blender is an all-in-one package, while Messiah is dedicated to animation and rendering.
It really depends on Your needs, Messiah has a unique approach to animation (fast and productive) and an excellent rendering engine.
You can not model in it, but it works seamlessly with SoftImage, LightWave, Max and Maya (as far as I can tell).

I'll interest to see how it mesh with the free 3D workflow like blender or more importantly unity3D.

But it seem to much for game workflow, especially low poly.

Awesome, I've always liked this software but been a bit out of my range. I put my 40 dollars in. Spread the word.

After a bit of googling and checking out forum posts, it seems that it exports FBX's and plays well with both. I'll be putting my $40 in soon. I don't know if I'll need a lot of it's features, but for that price you can't go wrong!

A buddy of mine who used Max and LightWave says its completely addictive, because it makes animation easy, intuitive and fast, it includes an autorigger and as far as i heard also a walk generator, plus rig setups seems very fast and easily to be modiefied and retargetable.
At that price it seems more than worth the try.Export to Unity is a big plus, and the hair shading seems top notch.

hmm. purchased. I like the look of the interface and adjusting rigs in it.
You get a refund if they don't hit the target, so might as well.  The program appears to be a better choice than trying to learn animation in 3ds max, for me at least..

There is no goal date, but you can keep track here http://www.projectmessiah.com/x6/shop.html if you want. Looks like it's 75% now. It was 45% last time I posted on this thread. The goal is a determined amount of sales. Which they will be reaching soon. If you are thinking about purchasing, go ahead now. It may not last much longer.

I've played with the demo(I'm an animator) and I really like the setup for as little as I've played with it. Maybe 3 hours? I downloaded some community rigs and just dived in. Some of it was a bit different from Blender (and max, maya, etc) but it has a similar feel to Lightwave for obvious reasons. After setting up my hotkeys for camera control, I felt much more comfortable and began animating. Unfortunately I found out that the demo doesn't allow saves, so for now I'm not going to waste time on animations that I can keep. Lips Sealed The speed of the deformations are very fast. I'm going to have to see if I can even tax the viewport to lag at all.

I like how they've hidden the real numbers, enabling them to keep this promo up for as long as they want.
