Hi, my name is Jonathan.
Last night I developed this game: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/612245
because I wanted to see what could I achieve in some hours.

To night I would like to tune it and then upload it to other flash game portals.

So I'm asking everyone to please check it out and tell me what could be improved.

I've already been told to make the following changes:
-Add leaderboards(OK)
-Add music(I don't have any)
-Make the grid visible(I rather not, as it was sorta an experiment)
-Lower the volume of the sound for when a snake/work appears(OK)
-Make it more difficult(maybe)

Definitely these three, also it takes too long for it to actually get difficult so maybe increase the pacing?

Thanks for the comments! I will definitely increase the pacing.
I'm still not sure I want to give up about the grid but some other people told me they would like to see it too...

I made 20 some points after two tries, the start certainly seems a little slow, while it jumps from easy difficulty to very hard in what seems like two rounds.

Do you mean that after a couple of rounds the initial difficulty increases?
Because that's not supposed to happen Tongue

I mean it the difficulty jump from like 2nd tier to 3rd tier is really large. It goes from basically 1 and 2 lines taking no effort at all, to 3 lines killing you quickly.  Also you can get 3 vertical lines at once coming down, though I guess you maybe can get around that by the grid wrapping.

Admittedly the random patterns affect this a lot, I just scored around 40pts on another play through which was much easier.

Oh I see. I will fix that, thanks!
And yes, grid wrapping is the way to go Smiley

I don't think it's necessary to add a grid. It's only 3x3, pretty easy to keep track of.

My only problem is that it was kind of hard to tell when a snake was just entering/just leaving a point, so maybe increase the contrast or rate of brightness increase/decrease on the squares?
