Venue TBC, will set up an EventBrite page before the end of April. Well that didn't happen.

I'd like to get an idea about interest levels and date preferences:

I'm interested! (I keep thinking about organising something local since we talked about it at World Of Love. Let me know if you could use any help with it...)

I might be up for it - depends what's happening with work (or lack thereof)... I may have a whole lot of free time by then...

Thanks! If anyone is aware of any suitable jam locations that would be the most useful thing right now I think.

I'll have a think and maybe ask around... I don't really know Bristol, just Bath, so any locations from me are likely to be Bath-wards.

I'm in so long as it doesn't clash with exams or WGD 48 Hr.

Based on the poll I'm probably going to go with 21st-22nd May but I'm going to wait until I have a venue lined up to make that official.

Was very busy last week (acting in a pantomime) but hopefully I'll have some time now to start sorting it out.

Sounds good to me.

I'll have just finished University then, and it's my birthday the week before. Should be good times.

Hi all,

I just discovered this forum after searching to see if any Game Jams happen locally. I'd be well up for something like this - has the idea died or might it still happen?

A Bristol jam would be tempting! If the idea isn't dead by now, it might be worth pushing the dates further away.

Hi antifuzz! we just bumped into each other on Twitter I think...
Also noticed you were involved with Bathcamp (which I only just heard of)... would they have any venue ideas?

I should be seeing someone tonight who might know about venues in Bath (he's organised LAN parties, and the requirements would seem to be similar)

I'm assuming it's tentatively still on for 21st-22nd...

Hey all, glad there's still interest in this. Antifuzz, I think I may have met you at a Bristol Flash UG meeting?

Yes, I'm going to make sure it happens, I'm still aiming for the weekend of the 21st but no venue yet.

It has been harder than I expected to find suitable cheap venues for a weekend. I think if all else fails I should be able to convince my boss to let us use our (small) office space but we wouldn't be able to squeeze a massive number of people in.

Will send out some more venue queries tonight.

Cool!
I have a possiblity of a cheap, largish venue in Bath, but waiting for details and contact info and whether it's even available that weekend Smiley
Anyway, I'm happy to head over to Bristol, but it might be a backup option.

Something else that occurred to me - how about the odd indie pub meet in the Bristol/Bath area? Can talk about it at the jam of course Wink

*peppers the jam location with subliminal mentions of Swindon*

Though Bristol/Bath are good too.

Twitter and a chance encounter mean that I have a couple of possible Bristol venues now.

Pub meets sound good to me, though I'm not going to be in Bristol that much longer. Could have the first one before the jam if enough people are interested.
