Yeah. If you read the background info I linked, the connection should become pretty obvious.

so that's their tactic, concentrate all the fire in a couple of people(for now anita and zoe), then use their human failings(every one has so they know they will find something) to attack all the construct that feminists have been building for decades (centuries?) as a whole
and there are fools that are happy to let themselves being used for that

your avatar is so vaporwave i thought the main concern with Sarkeesian was how she 'used' that kickstarter money, and the effort she did not put into actual research.

(thanks!) my point is that those persons may have real failings ('cause we all do), but the reaction is WAAAAAY out of proportion and betrays the size(proportion) of the bias of the "protestors" in a pretty obvious way

So these dudes hacked Phil Fish just because he defended Zoe Quinn on Twitter? Wut.
Also, everyone already knew gaming journalism is corrupt to some degree, and the only reason this became a huge scandal and other forms of "bribes" for review scores didn't become huge scandals is because /v/ can't get laid. (Not that this was even a real bribe in any way shape or form, she got ONE mention in an article. Maybe she's an awful person or whatever but I'm never going to meet her and probably never going to play her game so I don't care.)
That being said, that's actually not a bad character design given that it was crowdsourced from 4Chan. Actually, what's the problem with the TFYC thing? Regardless of their misguided intentions it's still a net positive outcome.

The censorship is a big part of why this thing got so huge. Mods on various websites tried to cover it up and delete all posts about the scandal. But the posts only increased at an explosive rate, and they were forced to admit defeat and let them talk about it. I think people would have found the scandal a lot less interesting if they had just been allowed to discuss it from the beginning.

http://daemonpro.tumblr.com/post/95066363564/the-opinions-of-some-asshole-on-the-zoe-quinn-dramaI could go into very long and exhaustive detail about why we need to be super careful about the people who are ‘chosen’ to be the representatives of ideologies in our industry More than anything else, I hope that this is the rain we’ve been waiting for to wipe this industry clean of people who will manipulate and crush everyone around them in order to get what they want, be it sleeping with journalists and getting positive coverage as a result or destroying people like The Fine Young Capitalists who are taking steps in the right direction to remedy gaming’s problems with sexism for the sole purpose of furthering your own agenda. I can agree with these.
