Out Now!

Sentinel is an interactive audio tower defense game. The game takes place on a sequencer-like grid. As you add defenses, collect resources and destroy enemies, musical elements are triggered in time to the music. The game is a mixture of standard wave based levels and puzzle levels where the player must defend the core using limited defenses and resources. I've been developing it in Unity for about 10 months so far and hope to have the game completed in the first half of the year.

Progress

I'm currently at the stage where nearly all of the game's systems have been programmed and am about half way through the process of designing the levels. Once that is complete I'll then focus on writing the rest of the music and designing some interesting visualisers for the backgrounds.

The game is now released Beer!

It's available direct from my website through the Humble Store for $10.

I'd planned to keep this devlog updated as I went but got so busy finishing up the game I kept forgetting to update it. There's still a couple of things left to sort out including a mac version of the game and creating a demo build.

I've uploaded a 2 level demo on Kongregate to give a taste of how the game plays.

Now I just need to test through and release the mac version and I'll be done. Then I can start playing around with ideas for a new game Smiley

The Mac version is now all sorted and work on the game is finally done. Thanks to Jon from Lucky Frame for his help in sorting out Mac problems.
