Mmm, that forest. Only problem is, the character doesn't stand out much- maybe decrease the background's contrast or saturation?

Yeah, I noticed that a bit. The tileset's a WIP - the area is designed/music finished, but Jon is finishing the tiles (and then painting over my level design, essentially) - I just copy-pasta'd the character in it for scale and the like. Usually what ends up happening is that once it's in game, Jon ends up tweaking all of those brightness/etc. thingies to help the sprites stand out.
