I just posted an update to the kickstarter. I've also posted the first backer-only update.  And as a hidden update, it is naturally about hidden content, specifically about what kinds of secrets and unlockables will be in the game.

Also, I've started to put together a short playable demo/alpha build of the game.  It'll be focused on the combat, although it will have a chance to play a little bit with the dialogue system.  Hopefully I will be able to have that ready by the half-way point of the campaign.

Shadows for the bullets seems a tad weird maybe?
Have you got a good spaghetti western composer?
Check out my Salvajes (Wild West) soundtrack if you're in need.  Gentleman

Work is coming along with the combat demo.  The level is all laid out, and I've made three sample characters for the player to pick from (which highlights three of the standard weapon types: pistol, rifle and shotgun).  There is also a boss battle at the end who has his own theme song, which I just got working in-game.  Most of what's left is working on the enemies, packaging the whole thing up with a beginning and end, and polish.  Should be on track to release the demo on Thursday.

Just heard the music on the Kickstart video. Not bad Smiley  I love the little honky tonk interludes.

The Playable Combat Demo is now available!

You can play the combat demo for Bandits and Bounties now.  In it, you can pick one of three characters and go through a short level with a heavy focus on combat.  Your goal: Kill Killer Pete.  The demo is currently playable in-browser, and I'm going to release a standalone version shortly.

Unfortunately, we didn't make our funding goal.

So what does that mean for the project?  I'm still in love with the idea behind Bandits and Bounties, and I've put a year's worth of work into it, so I'm still going to be continuing the project, albeit more slowly, as I will be shifting focus to other (smaller scope) projects.  First among them will be finishing Ninja Outbreak, which you can follow at its DevLog:  http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=41438.0
