I will miss my deadline of 1 month. The game will not be complete this Sunday. Still, it helped me push myself. For Sunday, then, I expect to have all the level art and most enemies complete. The deadline will be extended by a week. In this week, I will make the rest of the game: -Enemy abilities -Bosses -Items -Power-ups -Balancing -Menus -Sounds Another deadline extension is possible, but hopefully it will be the last. Dungeon level progress:

I think pushing the deadline is fine since the game has come so far already... and I'm sure it's changed a bit since the original design. It's looking nice though. It has come a long way!

Video! Featuring music (main theme song), primitive sounds (to be improved or replaced, it's only the first pass), everything you've seen before and also an abrupt cut at the end because I had to sleep to get up early and go to work. It's not a trailer or anything, but it's a warmup for when I do make one. I mainly wanted to show my musician (the great Morvan) how his song feels in the game and gameplay not in the form of quick gifs. We have 5 great songs for the game already, each better than this one. I also had other people play it for the first time today. They all picked it up quickly, played well and thought it was good-looking, had interesting design and enemies and was fun. Time to work on the final levels, then there's only the last 10% (which, as everyone knows, is actullay the 90%).

Tweaked the dungeon level. The old dungeon looked too dangerous with the red/purple color scheme, I think I'll move that one to the final level (castle) and make this one the mid-game dungeon. The background moves at the same speed as the tiles to show that it's a wall.
