P.S. I got to get to playing Gish sometime. It sounds awesome. It looks awesome. Just making Gish's portrait is AWESOME. So, in conclusion, Gish must be AWESOMENESS

I played the demo, and an early free version that had a different level set to that. It was awesome. I still haven't got the full version yet because I have had some difficulties paying over the internet (I have to use my brother's account) and I still have a backlog of other games to buy.

Awesome portrait, dudes! Honestly, I never saw any potential in the second portrait... the first one is perfect.

One thing I have learned though... Gish needs to grin in some of his moves. The grinning he does is the best thing about him as a character.

I am definitely getting Gish, but does it have any red in it? My computer strangely turns everything red into black (I don't want to name all of the games I have been unable to play because of that. Plus, my avatar is supposed to have a red eye, but that is hard to make since everything red appears black, so I just made it blue.).

Back on topic, I'm going to see if I can make at least the outline of his walk based on that one concept art thing I made (only the outline just incase someone wants to edit the idle some more).

Is it the computer or the screen?
And that's very odd.
There are areas where the lighting is red, and there are definitely areas with lava, always with red lighting I think.

It sounds like the connection itself to me. What kind of plugs are you using? Are the pins all good? Try replacing the plugs. Try borrowing a cheapo monitor. Try to find out what is actually wrong, and you might be able to fix it.

It seems he slightly altered some shapes and brightened the highlights, and tuned the line, anything else?

He just changed the anti-aliasing of part of the mouth (Gish's lower-right).

It's actually significantly better once you see it. My version left something a bit too much like a corner in that region.

I thought about adding Veo's colours to the idle sprite, but I don't know if it works.


I think I prefer this one, but the highlight might need some alteration.

hey it's ok if i edit and recolour some slime sprites to make an attack sprite for gish? just want to know

as i promised here's my edit of a slime (now he looks like gish). if i found good enough kirby sprites i'll go with the spike move and if i have enough time i'll do the walk =)

...By recolor a sprite, you mean you took a sprite from another game and recolored it to fit Gish? That's not the idea, actually. We don't want to be ripping any sprites, we want original ones.
