So thanks to the indie bundle, I'm playing Gish right now and... He doesn't seem to be able to pop up spikes like that at all.

Is this something you learn to do later in the game or did you guys just make that up for his moveset?

It's his (IIRC) "sticky" form for sticking to walls or ceilings. I think it, in-game, looks like lots of tiny white lines at, roughly, right-angles to his surface.

The move is inspired by the spikes of his sticky form. It's obviously exaggerated, though.

It's his sticky form, he sprouts little spikes that let him stick to walls.
Basically, since Gish fights enemies using mass and mass alone, we have to take a bit of creative license with his attacks.

And is it just me, or is that anime FUCKING STUPID?
He turns into a giant ball of drills, and then explodes; wow, just wow, was this written by children?

Quick question, are the spikes going to be going all round? It was discuses briefly before, but a definite yes or no wasn't reached.

When he attacks in the air, probably, because it'd look weird to have him bare on one side.
