There is a way to finish, and a best ending. ;)
I'm really glad you folks are liking this game thus far.

How do you make the critters escape the mouse hole as in the trailer?
Talk to the bum, then [kill theodore or go to dumpster for] the membership card, then enter the dentist's, talk to the old man, take his dentures back to the bum for gum, take the gum to the midget hole. I'm not sure what the point is though. edit: perhaps the goal is to 'invalidate' all the locations you can go? (eg, blow up the moon, infest the apartments, drugify the napkin museum, seal off the fbi ... not sure what you could do to the dick place though, maybe just sell one to the nim guy ... doesn't seem as final as the rest though.)edit: Yep, that's it, I win I would be interested to know if the ending changes if you get fired from the dick place instead of ... not getting fired, or if you still can get the ending that way? But I'm too lazy now to find out myself, heh.

That's what I was thinking! I had done mostly all of them, but forgot one the last time I played. Nice going!

Wow, same here BMcC. I woke up to this and another game, just casually browsing the internet like normal but then I saw this and another game on the Indie Games Blog (august wind), and nearly crapped myself of the unexpected awesomeness.
This post about the game is one of the funniest things I have read in a really long time. I didn't know how much I needed that laugh until I read the part about the seven trillion Zimbabwe dollars.
No amount of emoticons will convey how badass this game (and by extension it's thread). Thank you GZ Storm/Hundley for the first and best classic Esperanto-language adventure ever.

Ooh, August Wind looks lovely. Should post that too! I'm in code mode right now though, ugh.

Does your "code mode" have anything to do with Balding's Quest?
I played a bit of August Wind and got angered regarding the controls. I used Xpadder though and it is much easier.
I finally got the chance to sit down and really play 78641 and man, it is such a wonderful game. But I did encounter a few bugs with the game with the controls (I would press a button to advance the text and it would skip it). but xpadder saved the day, of course.
edit: my post made zero sense so I edited it.

Aye, it does! I'm keeping track of my progress in this thread, if you're interested.

I must have missed something, then I guess I was flipping through most of the floors pretty quickly. Please reveal your secrets:I really don't want to have to do that again

1. There is a top floor. 2. There is another floor of interest. Floor 100 and the one Leif's Mom talks about.

That's two isn't it? There's also one that's only relevant after you get back from lithuania.

I haven't tried the FBI building after going to Lithuania. I'll have to check that out.

I got an ending, which said I won, but I didn't "drugify the napkin museum". How does one go about doing that?

I still haven't tried beating the game. I've been just running around trying to find random things, and trying to beat that Nim guy! I still haven't one a game. I hope there is a ending where he dies. What a jerk. He mocks me when I lose and refuses to play me again! but I'll be back, and I will win and he will be sorry

Nim analysis: start with the simplest case: who wins when there is one stick left? Now think about adding sticks; if there are 2,3, or 4 sticks, and it is your turn, you can win by putting the opponent in the one stick case. If there are five sticks, then no matter what you do, the opponent ends up in the 2,3, or 4 case so they win. Now what about if there are 6,7, or 8? And so on.
