Thought I'd share some of the music I've been doing for a couple of game projects.

The soundtracks for Nautica and Café are still works in progress.

That's very impressive mister serene. Hand Thumbs Up LeftSmiley

I really like how you combine instruments that you wouldn't immediately think go together, but it all turns out for the best. Deep in the forest gets my vote for favourite, though I really enjoyed all of the Cafe material. If I was to nitpick about something then I'd say the sudden burst of instruments in Island One can feel a bit harsh, especially against the relaxing background of waves. Prologue was really nice though!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you go about making music like this? Do you have a guitar and a keyboard plugged into your comp or is it all generated through software?

Thanks, glad you liked it!

These tracks are mostly recorded acoustic instruments. Anything that sounds acoustic is, and anything that sounds fake is synthesised.

If you're interested (it's on the soundcloud page as well, but:)

Harmonium
Tambura
Trumpet
Violin
Mandolin
Saxophone
Drums
Fake 8-bit synth
Synthesised Celesta/Glockenspiel and Marimba

Everything's acoustic unless noted. I used some fancy micing techniques to get everything sounding how I wanted, including recording the sound of a trumpet amplified through a kick drum. So that was pretty cool.

A modern day renaissance man! This music is great, what else are you good at? Tongue

I think the tonality and atmosphere are great. It's my personal opinion that these are the most important things in music.

I listened to about half of them. I'd have to say that Time Capsule - Area Three is my favorite.

It was an entry for AGBIC. Didn't get finished, unfortunately.

What's that lo-fi flute sounding thing used in Area 1 and Time Capsule Area (probably more, too lazy to name them all)?
