Hellsinker Undefined Fantastic Object Crimzon Clover ring^-27 Warsow (mostly against bots, as I can never find any servers in the Western United States) Nethack (will start playing Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup when the CAO server comes back online) Edit: Oh and still playing Chrono Trigger, though I rarely have a long enough chunk of time to get through any non-negligible part of the game, especially with the games listed above to play as well.
I got into the Planetside 2 beta but have barely gotten the chance to play it, since nowadays I'm rarely at home where my desktop computer is (which is also one of the main reasons other than a lack of time that I haven't played Dark Souls yet too).

I really liked the castle setting in Ico. The way how the ruination of the castle changed the symmetry just right to make two otherwise identical rooms have completely different puzzles appeals to me.
The combat was pretty awful, though. I always felt like I had to be doing it wrong since it was so difficult to defeat even the early monsters.

ICO is one of my all time favorites. It bleeds atmosphere. The puzzles aren't incredible, but quite well designed. I also like that there's no HUD.
Combat never struck me as an issue.

Played through The Blackwell Deception the other day. Really liked Gemini Rue as well. I figured I might as well try out another from the Wadjet Eye catalog so I got Resonance. I'll prolly start that now.
Anybody got any recommendations for a dilettante recently hooked on point and clickies?

The Dig is probably my favorite point and click adventure of all time. With only one exception, the puzzles are logical and fun. Mostly it's about exploring the alien world and figuring out alien devices with a combination of comprehending strange alien glyphs and good old experimentation.
The new Sam and Max games from Telltale are pretty excellent, loaded with easter eggs, and genuinely funny. A couple of the episodes are a little lackluster, but for every yawn-inducing episode there's another episode that's downright fantastic.

The Walking Dead. Holy shit.
Besides that (that's also an answer to the adventure gam question, I guess) I've been playing the pre-release of Incredipede (it's really good) and Dishonored (also really good). Sadly I won't have time for any of them this week, as it's easily my busiest week of the year, but it should be a good time.

Finished Resonance last night. It was pretty good. Plot felt strangely familiar. Maybe a movie or something. I dunno. By the way, thanks for the PnC recommendations y'all. I'll be checking them out.
In other news, I also started Witcher 2 over the weekend. The controls are pretty funky on both keyboard/mouse and the xbawks controller. Not really sure which one to go with or if I even like the game.

Yeah, the combat was weak – I found the opposite was true. I found it easy to defeat monsters, it sometimes you just have to spend a long time mashing the same button over and over. However, I had no idea what I was doing "right" to defeat the monsters. I think I just happened to find the right timing on my button spamming and just repeated that.
