So, I was just sitting here and I thought to myself "you know what, it would be pretty cool if there was some kind of discussion group on TIGS for games". Of course book groups already do this same thing and I have seen some places online that do something similar with games. It would pretty much go like this: -Participants will vote in a game for discussion, game must be unanimously decided upon-Everyone will be given about 2 weeks to play the game and think of things to say in regards to the game-Post thoughts/opinions in the thread after finishing gameObviously all of the games would have to be something that everyone could play/afford. So I would suggest freeware/abandonware games so most people will be able to participate. Anyways, if anyone is interested just post here and we'll see if we can't start something up

Sounds fun indeed.
I'd offer a suggestion but I'm cool with Lyle in Cube Sector.

Well, it's been a few months since I won it, but yeah, Lyle in Cube Sector sounds like a great choice to me! Really solid game, with a few unique things I could definitely bring up in a discussion.

Ooh, Lyle. I'm a big fan. Occasionally go back and give it another playthrough - though I'm unsure of what exactly we'd discuss, I'm up for it.
Speaking of Lyle, though, what ever happened to DeStefano? Is he still making games, or doing art, or somesuch? He hasn't updated in... quite some time. If he's stopped, it's quite a shame.

Just our individual impressions of the game. We'd be discussing what we liked or disliked about the game and so on. Whatever comes to mind and stimulates discussion basically. I think if everyone is agreed then we should all go ahead and download Lyle in Cube Sector

I didn't think the unanimous thing would work, but I'm glad it did. Lyle is good with me too. (By the way, I keep expecting this thread to be in the Indie Games section.)
I don't suppose people need to finish the game to discuss it, correct? I've played only a part of it myself, but enough to have formed some opinions on it none the less. Not that I would hate to go back to it, of course.

Alright then, I figure that we can play Lyle for a good week or two and start posting our thoughts about the game sometime around the end of Decemeber/beginning of January. I assume that everyone knows were to obtain Lyle in Cube Sector but just in case here it is.

The game doesn't do anything when I press the control key.

This thread doesn't need to be in Indie Games because there's no rule only indie games can be discussed.
I finished Lyle a year ago or so, but I can add my 2 cents whenever you guys start talking.

I hadn't played it since the summer, but yeah, it's still fresh enough that I can talk about it (and I'm getting tempted to replay it now; darn!).
