This is a video I made.
It's 100 Game Maker games in 10 minutes. Inspired by similar videos for NES etc. on YouTube.
The list of games is on that page as well. Eventually I'll create a list of games with links to each game, and I'll include time signatures for each game on the list too. Probably tomorrow.
Too tired to say much else, this thing took dozens of hours to make. I hope it's entertaining.

This is brilliant. Had to open a word document and note down the names of all the games I had to play after seeing them here.

Excellent work.
You should make a version with subtitles saying the games name for easier reference.

I think Tim said he'd put it on his blog, so it'll be shown there at least. I'd prefer if he and others waited until I had the list of games with links and time signatures finished though, so they could more easily find games they want to download.

i opened text editor and copy n pasted all the 100 games in. then i poitioned the editor on the right site of the video. so i always know which game is shown currently...and when a game was interesting to me i marked it on the editor. very good work Paul here...the other 100 games in 10 minutes lists... (if you search for a specific name of a game shown in one of the videos, click the more info on the right where all games are listed)

Curse you, sir. This video totally challenged my preconceived notions about pre-packaged development environments. Heretofore I would have never considered Gamemaker or anything like it a viable output medium for me. But after seeing some of the quality work output by this particular engine I kept thinking, "ooh, I'll bet this would work if I ever decided to make...."

Very good job, must have been a lot of work to make. There were lots of games I hadn't seen before which looked very appealing; so a text overlay with the name of the game on display would have been helpful, it's very difficult to follow along with the list when it's not on the same screen. But again, well done.

copied and pasted from another forum: You've no idea how much I get that suggestion. And each time I have to explain my reasoning: I think game names right on the video itself interfere with watching the actual gameplay, because then you're dividing your attention between the video and the name of the game. Keeping the names of the game separate causes the focus to be on the video itself.

I'm just finished an evening of game-maker-game playing myself; thanks for the video dude!
(seven minutes was exciting; jumper three is beautiful (but haaard); mondo medical is beautiful but maybe a bit of a letdown).

Dude, kudos for putting Garden Gnome Carnage in there. It's basically the best game ever.
