? its just a screenshot of the big trail left by his cursor there. Same thing happens for the entire thing but it's extra noticeable with the cursor.

I didn't get it at first, what it's showing is a transparent trail of mouse cut-outs, I can only really see it when changing my viewing angle of my monitor.

Thanks Geti, had completely missed that until you pointed it out and Lee mentioned changing the viewing angle of the monitor. Can't see it otherwise on my laptop. Should probably adjust my monitor.

Have exported a new copy (but included a slap to make it different) and kept the old one so the posts make sense.

Assuming the army posts stuff is directed at me, thanks. It's actually coming along a lot slower than we'd like but I think we were a little ambitious about the timeline Smiley

@AlexHW - looks slick man, really good. The colours everywhere make me kinda feel like it's one after a colour-run or one of those religious festivals with all the coloured powders thrown around!

@initials - looks pretty fun. That gifv is blurry as heck though. I'd imagine support for embedding requires some html5 stuff to decode it like gfycat's stuff.

.gifv is not a gif, it is an mp4. You can't embed those, unless there is a specific tag. There already is a thread discussing this > here < Smiley Gfycat provides .webm videos as well, which have a higher, less blurry quality for game gifs.

Could be worse, Twitter converts all GIFs to MP4 and still keeps calling them GIFs. Breaks just about every client that was expecting an image instead of a video (and worse, because MP4 is patented you can't legally implement support for those videos without getting a license). Yeaaaaah...

Reasons why everybody is switching to MP4:

  • It tends to take up less space, which means less bandwidth usage, ergo less server costs
  • Mobile supports MP4 decoding in hardware, which means higher performance and less battery usage

So this is not going away any time soon. I guess that the whole debate about moving to APNG vs MNG is now moot as well =P (although MNG is still useful to have JPEG images with added alpha... if browsers supported the format, that is)

some more work on the level editor for a topdown shootylike. will implement the player movement into it soon so I can play as I edit.

But I just bought shadow of mordor and evil within soooo  Facepalm
