Semester
A series of symbolic representations of my first semester in college, wrapped up into an aesthetically simple platformer.

Each level has a title. Each level has a meaning. Some are blunt and to the point, while others are very open ended.

The levels (in order):
Departure
In Between
At the Gate
Entrance
Lecture
Overthink
Descent
Wake up Call
Mind's eye
Ante Up

2 AM
CIS 190
Her
Nicotene

Tool
The Call
Homeward
(colors indicate progress towards completion)

Gameplay is simple and riddled with small puzzles/interesting enounters






A few levels to finish, some sound to add, throw in a bit of polish and a menu and this game is done!

Computer Science. (A lot of the game focuses on my social encounters however; I attend an away school)

I'm glad you like them, as I sometimes feel like they may be boring.

I may need to alter the wall blocks a little bit to avoid my fear of it looking boring, but they are receiving their texture from a static image overlay, meaning if they move, their image adjusts accordingly based on their position relative to the texture. I'm a bit torn on what to do regarding that.

Also, believe me when I say it looks better in motion, as their is a static noise effect Smiley

Stickin a fork in 2 AM, it's done!

Also turned alot of these background images into a tilesheet so I can be savvy/consistent about how I make backgrounds. I still draw a background separately though which contains things that would be pointless as tiles (one time uses)

Also... this song is in 2 AM.



The singers actually move their heads in sync with the lyrics as well!
I'm starting to realize how random and weird this game is turning out. I like it.

We've hit the 80% mark!







Most of the music & SFX are in place. All but 2 levels are fully fleshed out. I finished the menu screen. Finally, I've been polishing the levels that are done.

I would love to show pictures of some of the other levels, but I don't want to spoil all the little surprises.
