| 2D Action Adventure | Explore, Fight, Survive, Deliver | PC | Linux | Mac |
~ About ~ Courier of the Crypts is a 2D action adventure game where you have to survive as a courier on his first errand to the guardian of the crypts. Your main tool to achieve your mission is a magic torch which you use to illuminate your path, defend from evil spirits and solve puzzles. ~ Support the Game on Indiegogo & Steam Greenlight ~ MAGIC TORCH MECHANICS:The main aspect of the game is your magic torch. The environment will react to its flames in different ways so it will be common for you to toggle the flame on and off throughout the game. Some enemies will leave you alone while others will try to extinguish the torch. It's up to you to learn all about them and use that knowledge to your advantage. You can lure some enemies into traps or sneak past them. Will you let Dark Moths drink your light or attack you? There are also riddles in the dark that only the magic flame reveals. Enemies and puzzles should not be your main worry though. You must keep your torch filled with magic flame all the time otherwise dark spirits will come to get you. Use your torch flame wisely and look after the flame. FEATURES:- Ambiental and carefully hand-crafted maps full of puzzles and secrets.
- Magic torch - light your path, scare off the enemies, solve puzzles....
- Deadly traps and rich treasures
- Simple yet appealing story with a twist.
- Beautiful pixelated graphics.
- Music and visuals for perfect ominous ambient.

Current status:
Done: - Game mechanics - Map editor - Half done tilesets for the first two thematics
ToDo: Game mechanics are functional but I need polishing, lots of polishing so that everything will look really smooth. That's my next plan...
After that, I still have to do maps, more art, main menu, story part.

Is that a goatman? It looks like a goatman.
Or maybe a giraffeman.

Oh c'mon, you've just ruined my protagonist, I'll always see giraffeman there from now on Anyway, character will get few more touches as well, mostly around the haircut but that's lesser concern for now

Thanks guys I'm not sure about the character so far, so there is a chance it will stay like it is. @electrocat: Hopefully, you'll have a chance quite soon to do so ---------------------------------------------------------------- I've revealed more about the story in my game and how is it going to be told. --- More at my blog ---

@KomradeJack: Thanks for the offer but I already have music in the development. In case I'll need sfx, do you online portfolio maybe? @Ooops: Thanks, I'm glad you like them There will be more in a short time. About the character design, it will most likely stay the way it is, just few pixel corrections maybe but nothing that will change the shape or the outfit.

That's all.

@Ninja Dodo: I'll do my best to turn that sound into experience New blog post: Replay value in the Courier of the Crypts I've wrote few lines of text on that topic to explain how the replay value works in the game. If you take your time to read trough I'll be more than happy to hear your thoughts and opinions. Next to that I have to inform you that first maps are already in the development so expect the movie preview soon.
