This thread is for epic post quoting, not your personal attacks. Quitit. Naah, no personal attacks here, just funney joking-thing. But indeed, I'm sorry to not have any epic post quotes currently. I'll try to look for some.

We're talking about Toblerones, here. We don't need footnotes to know how awesome they are.

Watch what you say about footnotes. Someday you'll be in a position of explaining something and feel the need to include some tangentially related material that might otherwise interrupt the flow of the text, and then where will you be?

I've found that parentheses work well (not that you would understand such a sophisticated tool).

Sure, if you want to whisper every second sentence like it's a subversive and clandestine piece of gossip. The footnote is a gentleman's tool which imparts related sentiments with the demeanour of a wise and aged professor*.
* Not that I expect you to understand, mind you.

Certainly, I find the aversion both of you, GeneralValter and I Like Cake, towards the wonderful tool known as "comma" worrying, and I certainly don't understand it.

Commas unfortunately have a tendency to create the abhorrent beast known as the "run-on sentence" (a monster you must be quite familiar, I'm sure), when used in excess.

Footnotes are a delight. Endnotes are the absolute devil, however.

I quite probably am, however since I haven't bothered to look up what the hell does "run-on sentence" mean, I am blissfully unaware.

I don't understand where this came from. They were both using commas in all the appropriate places. Also, this: Footnotes are a delight. Endnotes are the absolute devil, however. I'm reading Childe Harold's Pilgrimage at the minute and Byron's notes are all sandwiched between cantos with no way to find them other than simply to keep flipping through the pages until you happen upon them.
