Why would anyone want to do that?
Any more recommendations of this type, anyone?

If you can get the multiplayer to work, E.Y.E
So yeah, it's not really proper as it breaks all the time and is a pain to get working, but the upside is that when you do it allows up to 32 (!) players in co-op mode

That reminds me, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Terrorist Hunt online is the best.

So here's a challenge for you all: what are some really good hidden objects games?
(challenge because I bet most of you consider that genre too casual)
Serious question btw, my girlfriend is really into them. We got a bunch in a recent Humble Bundle, but there was a notable difference in quality between them.

ok i'm not an expert on hidden object games by any means, but i hear fans of the genre praise the developer "artifex mundi" all the time. so check out their stuff i guess? EDIT: there's also this steam curator: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/6458642-Hidden-Object-Gamers/?appid=284850(yes this supposedly "casual" genre has nerdy hardcore fans)

(yes this supposedly "casual" genre has nerdy hardcore fans) For the record: I wasn't implying it's not a worthwhile genre. Just that a lot of "hardcore" gamers ( ) look down on it. Thanks for the tips!

remember seeing some russian developers, mostly alawar and big fish submitters. Thats without exageration the most cynical people in gamedev. Some posted collaboration/job request straight up writing "making dum games for housewives to get fast cash".

Thanks for the tips! not really a response to you, just a general statement. i was surprised about this myself. it's a bit like those MMO players who get really deep into MMOs but don't play or know about much else (except hardcore hidden object fans are probably a much smaller group haha). it's its own little subculture separate from "core" gamer culture.
