Thanks! One of the mistakes I made with Dungeon Hearts 1 was waiting too long to start playtesting, so I plan on fixing that this time. Going to start playtesting ASAP, hoping to have something ready by the end of TIGJam.

I believe that a game like this really will get a lot of benefits from early iteration and playtest.

Prototyping the next Dungeon Hearts game, a card-based roguelike. Look interesting. Check out this guys website, he's got some cool cardgame style ideas that you might find inspiring.

Jelly. Puzzle. Planet. Verrry good. I think it would be even better if you enlarged the graphics.

@allen i use licecap for capturing directly to gif format, then virtual dub for editing and reducing the framerate to keep filesize low. this is the best method i've found

Thanks, tried that. Much faster than my previous method. here is crawling out a vent and stealthily turning off a robot, then killing another one non-stealthily.

I have to say this looks quite badass. Also a nicely functioning loop if I may say so.

I realized while making city tiles I should probably have an idea of what I want in my city... in the mean time, this: things to add- doors, mats in front of doors, more wall art, wall paper tearing off, lights attached to the walls, etc... edit: oh some more props for inside...

I like the early PS1 look here, with the only problem being that the contrast is too high - in a shooter, you want the background to be fairly uniform, and the player/enemies/bullets to REALLY stand out, otherwise you can get hit by ones you didn't see. Have the bullets flash and have a motion trail or something, it looks way cooler!

Yeah, I have a few ideas for the bullets, in the long run, there will more weapons with improved visuals. The thing with the Background never occured to me. Thanks for pointing it out. I will have to rethink this and come up with a plan to make it work. Thanx for your advice

Due to unforseen circumstances I was forced to move my blog to my main site .. added a new entry to it also (It's all development related, I swear!) Previously it was on another site that hardly anyone even knew about, so it's probably better this way. http://rydia.net/udder/blog.htmlAlso adding change log text files to all the game releases, and updating the demo files for XOP Ultra Bundle .. yeah, more excitement.
