I friend and I are brewing our own wine for a big student party (Absolut Gotland), and we thought it'd be a nice touch with our own labels to put on the "bottles".

Today I created FRAY. FRAY stands for "Fake RAYcaster". It's fake in that I use no raycasting techniques whatsoever and instead use OpenGL to draw walls, floors, ceilings and sprites. But in the end it looks like typical raycaster.
It's very simple. I'm using pure C with Allegro, but I'm also thinking about porting it to Python. I wrote everything in couple of hours, including rendering routines, update routines, save/load routines and some other stuff. Now onto making FRAY map editor.
It's interesting how I'm motivated to work on something as trivial as this, even despite the fact that I can make raycaster game using Construct within very short period of time. I think I'm going to make a game with it later on.

It's interesting how I'm motivated to work on something as trivial as this, even despite the fact that I can (do something productive instead etc.) I often distract myself with meaningless little challenges that I know I will never use. I could use that time to work on my game, but... I think I just like learning. It's more exciting than actually doing.

michael: those are some really awesome posters. I especially like the colors on the first one. Miroslav: any screenshots? frekir: Wine? That sounds like fun. Let me know how it goes. I've tried making wine myself, but it didn't go well

Today (or yesterday, dunno) I created a little piece of roguelike concept. It's Dark Messiah + Roguelike + destructable environment + Z axis (3D maps). When I've finished my exam, I will work it out. It features random 3D maps using blocks, physic-based battle, realtime combat and random enemys (things like "3-eyed, flamethrowing steel monster with doubled-scissored arms", you know what!). Everything random, also the monster AI (you won't know what to do, because you won't know how the monster reacts). Just a storyless sandbox game, not more! I also created a little WIP piece of music: guitar riffs, chitune melodies and breakbeat. I fucking love this combination! Good as a soundtrack, imho.

Great work in this thread! Today I created http://www.mediafire.com/?njzgj2iunir1:47 of a remix of the Opening song of some show. My best work so far even though it's a WIP. It sort of changes in the middle and I don't know what I'm going to do with that. Oh well, enjoy.

I made a tessellation! It's a little messy right now, though. The tail overlaps a little because because the grid of freehand triangles I drew this thing over got a little out-of-proportion on that side.

Today I created a program that causes this microcontroller to play this familiar song. (the circle is on the speaker, not the microcontroller)

Today I created this iteration on that great thing I'll never do anything with. Really, if you can think of a game to make this into I'm all ears.
