Hey LD24 is coming up was wondering who's participating.  Ekun and I are teaming up again, and we have a musician this time, Ben(bashmonet).  We're going 3D this time, using Unity + Blender for modeling.

For a moment I was going 'hey hey wait, isn't that against the rules?' but I guess the Jam is also part of Ludum Dare (link for newbies who might not be aware of LD).

I'll be participating in the compo again, third time (after LD22 and LD23).

There's a 99% chance it'll be 2D again (or interface- or text-oriented) since I simply can't make 3D look nice. Last time I managed to create something technically impressive but unfun, but I think this time I'm going to try for less impressive but more fun again. As engine/framework I still prefer XNA, but I'm not 100% sure as having to download the game and run it in Windows does seem like quite a barrier to some.

Yeah I'll be doing this once again (hello by the way, new to these forums :3). I'm even delaying a home move to keep this weekend free. And trying to hold off playing Guild Wars 2...

Probably will perform some Flixel muckery again. Bring it! :D

Because the date has been known for ages and you didn't plan accordingly.

Anyone interested in partnering for the Jam? I consider myself a coder and would like to make a web based game. PM me

I'm not sure if I take part of this one. Depends if my tests are not on these dates. I will know just 1 week before it begins.

I'm in, I've done the miniLD 35, so, I've had a bit of experience.

My first serious game jam, I'm going in for the 48hr one Noir

I'll be using processing this time round. and it'll be my first serious experience with it, I've done some proof of concepts, but nothing as big as this. I like the language, it's the first one I've felt really at home in to be honest. ^_^

I actually tried processing last week in preparation for this, but 2d games have horrible performance. I could only render about 200 sprites at 30fps without opengl. And opengl enabled doesn't support alpha in spritesheets.
But I do know that 3D games are fine in it though.

This is my first time entering and I'm gonna go with either LÖVE or pygame, I have very little experience with both of them, but I think it is a good oppertunity to learn it. And they seem to be known for rapid development time aswell.

I'm determined to finish this time!

I might get someone to give me a crash course in Unity, and make something super simple and gameplay light (REALLY) just as a challenge to MAKE SOMETHING in Unity. Smiley
