Holy shit balls, fuck yes. Pretty much this. According to Wikipedia, automatic writing is done in a subconscious state, so I assume the same is done for automatic drawing. Do you have any specific techniques to get into a subconscious state that you could share?

Stop thinking and start feeling. Also, there are natural patterns ingrained into your head. They're what you doodle when you're not paying any attention at all. Keep those patterns going instead of stopping, and you'll extrapolate some really cool stuff.

Do you have any specific techniques to get into a subconscious state that you could share? I would say that it's more done, "empty handed". You draw without anything in mind to draw. Classical training in art helps a lot because you'll fall into drawing recognisable patterns and use different qualities of line (drawing quick and slow). This book helps: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=zen+flesh+zen+bones&x=0&y=0That's some mighty impressive programmer art, st33d.
It's the complete opposite of the programming state of mind I'd say. Quite relaxing. However I got into programming to try and get the computer to make pictures like this. Then I got hired by a games company and here I am.

Made a design for a character for a new game, though I'm not sure which colors to pick. I'm going to shade one of those once I know which one is best So, which one? Or maybe any ideas for other colors?

because mosty of the time the new color of clothing didn't match with the color of the fur, which made it look pretty bad :/ so is the left one the best, or are there any improvements?

i like him. personally i don't care for conscious weapons but to each his own. as long as it almost never talks or gives you advice i'd play this. his feet could be a little bigger - being a rabbit and all it would make sense and look cooler

eh... yeah.. haha.. the idea was to make the rabbit inable to talk and the hammer being the one to give you advice and stuff. So there still is only 1 ''person'' to talk

Hmmm, what do you find ''annoying'' about that? Are you thinking about Navi?
