I never looked at it, but my guess its probably as good as any licensed work he might have done. I own some of his other books, not any licensed stuff, and they are pretty great. Smutty at times, but great.
Pretty much all of his stuff is wonderful to look at.

Katsuya Terad been mentioned?    probably most famous for his LoZ illustrations:  his tumblr: http://katsuyaterada.tumblr.com/Esad Ribic makes the best covers    And I agree, Ashley Wood is hella good with them oil paints man. Jeez. His work on Tank Girl was also nice. EDIT: Ayeh and notmusa's character work is great, too. if a/he made a comic i would read it. |

With Hyper Light Drifter showing how awesome color is, I had to bring up one of my old favorites:  Sadly, no bigger version of this image seems to exist online, but Golden Sun has always had awesome/badass light and colors. |
