I think what worries the most is that they might give in to demands to make the end of level sequences easier to complete. It makes sense that they are more difficult than the rest of the game. Those sequences are the platformer equivalent of bosses. Maybe they could add a "casual" mode or something in the new edition but pls don't take away my genuinely challenging metroidvania gam pls.
