im not gonna make any friends here by saying that but, altho being highly deserving of the grand prize, i think everyday shooter was more deserving. not to bash or anything, aquaria is way cool, the bit blot guys are way cool too (nice to hang with you guys), but to me, ES is just the IDEAL game.
granted, im a bit bias because ES is exactly my type of game. it rubs my drug-addled mind the right way. so, i was rooting for john and his trippy shooter. but i think jon ended up winning the rightawards. and im way happy for the bit-blot guys. hopefully, and i do think they will, everybody will get what they deserve out of this. and by that i mean good things. for all.
there, i said it.

Everyday Shooter deserved the grand prize more 'cause it's your type of game? But yeah, I think all indies get less recognition than they deserve.

Me, David Williamson and Mark Foster do an Indie Games podcast. Give it a listen. And then I'll send you an apology. http://pigignorant.com/

Holy crap, I must be the most horribly late man in the world.
Congratulations from the most incredibly late man in the world. Keep up the awesome work, says the most tablespoonful late man in the world.
(I know the word "tablespoonful" means something else, but it sounds so good I had to use it)
(Next time I'll say "tachyphylaxis")

Thanks so much, guys! It's all a bit overwhelming still. Like, "geez, did that really happen?" The entire week was amazing. Seriously, GDC is not to be missed!
