Woot, congrats Matt this game is awesome. You also got mention on IndieGames.com and GameSetWatch... =) The strangest thing is that they always credit you as the creator of Broken Cave Robot, i.e., it's not Matt Thorson (Jumper) or Matt Thorson (An Untitled Story) it's Matt Thorson (Broken Cave Robot). Hmm...! Well NEVERMIND it's an awesome game and that is really all that matters.

Once the difficulty started really ramping up (in the 40s) I started getting really rather frustrated. Doesn't stop this being a really excellent game though, and I just adore the seriously strong aesthetics and the rapid-fire level design.

Same. I spent about half the time playing the game on the last ten levels.

Only thing that annoyed me was the vocoder raging at me after a while. Other than that, freaking brilliant.

It's great to have the designer here to chat with. I had been looking around Adult Swim after getting bored with Robot Unicorn Attack. Never rely found anything that I liked. Until this one got released and it even beat RUA in it's awsomeness. I liked the level design. The simply graphics. I feel like I'm back to the past. I've finished all 50 levels three times. I found 42 and 50 the most difficult. And am now stuck in Hard 2. It would have been nice to see how many levels there are. When I was at 49 I was like "if there are 100 levels I'll never finish this". But still kept going. Now I understand that there are 11 hard levels.
Any tips on finishing hard 2?

Very cool. Although I swear the computer says "Super Joe Robot" at one point.

I'm surprised so many people are talking about the difficulty. This has nothing on AUS, the Jumper series, or MoneySeize.

Yeah it's actually one of my easier games (on normal mode, that is).

Yeah, I actually don't have much trouble at all with Matt's games anymore. I think that while testing this before release, I got to the point where I'd beaten it so many times that I could get all the way up to 43 before I even died once. 43 (might be 45 actually, I can't remember) would always kill me a few times, and then 48 and 50 always took several tries each.
But it's still fun to joke about the difficulty in Matt's games :D because the level design and difficulty curve is such a defining factor.

Also, although it's pretty easy for one of my games, it's still definitely harder than the average flash game, and I'd estimate that 99.999...% of Adult Swim Games visitors have never heard of me.

It's pretty fun. I got to lvl 45 and died and died. I'll have to give it another go later.

Very nice game. It was hard but I was able to beat the first 50 levels(although it took like 90 minutes and 600 deaths). I got to hard level 3 and eventually quit. I liked the coloring and the blur. By the way what program did you use to create that voice? Its really a neat effect and adds a lot of atmosphere to the game.
