That sounds awesome, HybridMind -- Sprout seems like a really nice space. We have a pretty cool hackerspace in Montreal, but they run by paid membership and I've been sort of loath to encroach on their limited desk space. I love the idea of having that interdisciplinary cross-pollination going on, though.

I hear you on the desk space front. The lucky thing is that the people that run Sprout said that early in the week (Monday and Tuesday especially) the desk space is really under utilized upstairs so it works out nicely in not having to monopolize it. Hopefully there are other free or cheap options for you to discover up there--in any case I wish you good luck!

While this isn't restricted to indie developers, the Georgia Game Developers Association has a monthly meetup on the second Tuesday of month. Check the calendar for dates and times to specific cities. I run the Augusta chapter. Check out the forums (link in my signature) for current events and updates.

I wasn't quite sure where to put this on TIGForums so I thought here's a good spot. I recorded video footage of all the presentations at the Indie City Games Meet-up and posted them all on YouTube. Here's a link to the indiecitygames forum where you can find them all: http://forums.indiecitygames.com/index.php?topic=78.0

Can you add this one to the list for Vancouver developers, please? http://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Indie-Game-Developers/Alex Vostrov has the original thread here, but I didn't want to necro it. There was a good chunk of us out last time (55?) and the group seems to be growing every month. Chevyray even sang us a song last time. :3

San Jose State University has a game development club, and it's open to everyone (not just students). Can we be added to the list? We have meetings every Tuesday during the semester from 7 - 9 PM in BBC 124 on the SJSU Campus (1 Washington Square, San Jose, CA) Our website is http://sjsugamedev.com/ , but our web host is really terrible and it might not load every time.

Wow, if you weren't at Game On Austin last night, you missed a crazy good time: There were probably about ten different indie developers and hundreds of people wandering around trying out games. There's another indie game party coming up in February at Game Over Videogames, I'll post more deets when they become available. Cheers!
