I'm all for new stuff, but to go from 0 to Game in 3 hours with an entirely unfamiliar technology sounds pretty mind-melting. Perhaps I should familiarise myself with something first. What's the current tool of choice amongst you crazy fast-game-making mofos?

Get a laptop, Nugsy.
I lack funds! I could try and borrow one.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. What's the current tool of choice amongst you crazy fast-game-making mofos? My tools of choice are unity, flixel, and renpy (only the latter would I recommend if you had do make a game Right Now without any prior experience with any of the three).

I personally use Flixel, but I'd recommend looking at Flixel, Flashpunk and maybe Unity before the jam if you can. (Says the man who has never been to one.)

I won't be there for the entire weekend, but I'll see if I can drop by for a few hours.

I'll put up an eventbrite page in a bit so people can register. <- Mr Tiger is waiting patiently... ...but tiger patience has been known to run out suddenly, resulting in missing limbs.

Will be great to finally meet you sir! I think you should do a game-naming talk.

Maybe next time If you'd set the dates like 1 month ago I would of been there. Tough luck for me I guess.

Debating with myself whether I should. I know I want to, but I need to check whether I'm free first.

Oh, the five quid fee is mainly so that people don't just sign up without having at least some confidence that they'll turn up (so we can let our hosts know how many will be coming). I have no particular ideas as to what to do with it. Worst comes to worst, you'll either get a fiver upon turning up, or I'll toss it to some carefully chosen charity.
Anyone want to try doing a poster for this? Maybe we can get it frontpage'd...
