Really like your attention to colors and shading! Excellent work! @Conker Hah, cute. So one player's a farmer trying to catch the other players or something like that? Pac-man in reverse? @Jad Yessssss! I think the frames you added should be paused on even more to emphasize the effect. The larger hand also works because it looks like an animation smear. @WhyNot - You're streaking the pixels back to make them look like they're moving, but it's ignoring the shape of the character. Effective smears should pay attention to the 3D shape and texture of the object that's moving, and if done correctly, should blur the attack. Speaking of smears, here's a sword attack for Gearend.

Some animation test. It feels like I've missed one hitstop frame somewhere, but I have no idea how to fix it. Maybe someone can point out what is off here. i did edits! it plays twice, once it stops on the frames I added that I think are crucial. if you don't show her bracing for attack there's not telling where the energy comes from, so it kind of looks like she's being carried by a wind and not her own muscles and whatnot. her hand is much larger than it should be, because it's an educational edit and not an finalizing attempt! xoxoo Some animation test. Maybe someone can point out what is off here. really like the secoundary motion of the hair and skirt, also nice lite stomp with the foot at the end, a nice note to finish on I however feel like she is quite stiff, as if she has a board strapped to her back and can't spin her hips and shoulders separately. also the initial punch lacks umph because she doesn't have any strong anticipation frames before it. I change a few frames before the first punch and made her put more weight into it. also made the kick follow trough a bit more. if you look at mine the first punch still looks weak as if its just hitting air. that could be solved by adding an additional frame after hit, kinda like she hit a wall and the wall broke allowing her to keep moving through it, or maybe fewer frames in the Punch/fist moving a further distance. there is a lot you can do to make it feel more powerful, however a lot of the time the frames before the attack sell the impact of it more that the actual impact does. hope that helps at least a little Wow, it looks awesome! Thanks a lot guys, I've finally realized what was wrong with that animation in the first place. P.S. Here is something I've done recently, just to fill up the post with some content.
