HEY BROS AND FEMALE BROS GUESS WHAT TIME OF THE YEAR IT IS AGAIN  time to gay up some designs(i know it's not finished but i just figured i'd post the one i started to get advice on the stance he's in, something still seems kind of weird about it) has it even been a full year? haha to be honest, right now, the new one looks almost in the exact same style as the 2008 one. I don't know, but if you do the others like the first one, they won't be bad, but I don't think they'll be very original! You pretty much aced them the second time around, redoing them is going to be hard, because the 08 ones had charm ;P imo you should find some other older character designs and remake them. it'd be MUCH more interesting |

well to be honest, this is probably the last time i'm going to revisit these designs specifically (also no it hasn't been a full year, it's been like 10 months but still) I'm just doing this one last time because i really don't like how i did the 2008 ones  top hat guy was just incredibly lazy the big goon had his jacket left in because i needed an excuse to avoid learning anatomy(the current arm is still far from perfect, that's just what i managed to do without a ref) the 3rd guy was probably the best one, there's just tons of small problems i have with it and the cheese hair guy still pisses me off for some reason tl;dr i'm revisiting these designs one last time just because i hate the 2008 versions edit: COLOR UPDATES AND THE FIRST GUY IS DONE FINALLY  |

Really? I think the gradient on the hat is quite nice. The color transition is perfect, and it really gives it shape. It definitely looks better than it would without it, imo.

agree. though... There's a bit more I don't like about it than that; The cane has lost alot of character without the ball thing at the top. The legs still seem unfinishèd. No hoodie pockets?  Big dude looks like a goron. Really looking forward to mr flamey hands and, as you call him, cheese hair. Those were my faves of 08, deffo. |

dude, the 2009 sprites look dang near identical. Aren't these for a game or something? Your time would be better spent animating them and making more dudes and stuff. Redoing work like this is a big reason people never finish projects. That said, the 2008 stuff is flippen rad.  |

That said, the 2008 stuff is flippen rad. they actually aren't for a game people just keep asking me if they can use them in games im doing these for a break on the game im working on and the point of me doing this was really just to fix all the things that are bugging me about the last ones. like, i know they were *good enough* but
i hate them.
i really didn't try as hard as I could have on them/didn't make them as good as they could have been and that's bugging me
there won't be changes as extreme as the ones from the 07 to 08 versions because a) i'm essentially just 'finishing' the 08 versions, and b) i pixelled way more in the gap between the first two and as a result I was able to improve fast enough to make something that much better than the originial read as: they're GOING to look almost identical to the originals i'm making them how they should have been done last year |

Those were my faves of 08, deffo. ofuck perfect example of the various things i forget when i say i'm finished edit:  tried throwing some grey into the clothes might have just made the hat worse i'll mess with the big guy's skin color a bit, make it less yellow more tan |

well thats good because i kind of went crazy with the color blending here color blending works wonders, see? =) not quite sure the guy's arm is perfectly anatomically correct, but it's close enough so meh. he also isn't as fat as he looked before still, lookin' pretty sweet. with the large aura/fire on the guy's hands, there will have to be much stronger ambient lighting on him than the 08' version. k e e p i t u p |
