Hello! My name is Varis Vecpuisis but you can call me Anymattar(same as antimatter). I am currently the only person(May change) working on a project called "Through the Void" The idea is that every game are will be some kind of void(and I have quite a few ideas for the types there can be). The player will have to go through all of these and unwind a story. Right now it's a wip platformer. I've finished programming elevators so that you don't have to jump up and down on stairs to get to a higher platform. heres a pic of the current version: the current version can be downloaded here: Press F1 to get a help file.
Changelog: Version 0.1 to 0.2
Added npc's Added Doors Fixed(for real this time) Elevators Added tiles Improved tiles Finished First Level Stuff to do for next demo: Add enemies upgrade levels. Make transitions and music

Whoops, sorry, I was assuming you were using a programming language. What program are you using to develop this game?

This looks good so far.
I have 2 questions:
1. Is this in Game Maker?
2. What resolution are those sprites?

WOW So many replies! Yes this is made in game maker(That answers the Middlewares question ) The purpose of the whole thing will be to let the player play a story based game. The story(So far as I would tell you. I'm not greedy I just think that if I give away too many things then I might spoil the fun) is that you and your people live in a cubical-ish void. A harmonious plac. You and your people don't really have a name(You are humanoids). The names you have are all just assigned(The main player's name is AL-1. This will later be transformed to Allen). Most everyone seems to be coding(Your people code a lot) or enjoying life. So, some more story and not just description: A long time back, the main computer received a signal. An expedition was lead and technology was used to travel to other voids and meet the people who sent the signal. However, this team of people never returned. No one knows what happened. Maybe the other place was so good that they didn't want to return... But then they would invite you too...Wouldn't they? The player will have to travel through many voids to find out the mystery of what happened in that expedition. To answer Qbooper's question, Those sprites are 16X16. I just enlarged them. I know, seems bad. That's because the scaling system in gm is a bit bad. I'l fix that when I figure out how. @pla1207: Thanks! I'm a little bit of a pixel artist and I've had TONS of unfinished projects so you could say I've had a lot of practice. I will upload a small demo shortly. The sprites actually look nice, and I'm using 16x16 but my game window is so tiny atm I need to upscale and I have no idea how. I think it's a Pro feature, sadly. Hell, even a fullscreen which stretched the sprites out would be nice...

Actually, The scaling can be set in the game settings(ged thing at the very bottom of the stuff list). That's what I did. Just put the scale up to 200%.

The graphics style reminds me of Chip's Challenge in the best possible way.

Just played this. It was pretty interesting despite the fact that I had absolutely no idea as to what I was supposed to do. Great start though! It has a very interesting atmosphere.
